Jay H. Kesslen

  • Mr. Kesslen currently serves as Assistant General Counsel to Kinetics Asset Management, Inc., a registered investment adviser with over $3 billion in assets under management. He is responsible for the general corporate governance and risk management, and has significant experience with the rules and regulations governing the investment management industry, including organizing, registering and counseling open-end funds, master-feeder funds, hedge funds and their respective Board of Directors and other parties. In addition, Mr. Kesslen serves as Assistant General Counsel to KBD Securities, LLC and Kinetics Funds Distributor, Inc., each a registered broker-dealer. In that regard, he is responsible for maintaining firm and employee registrations as well as the respective firm’s compliance program, and has extensive knowledge with the rules and regulations governing registered broker-dealers.

    Mr. Kesslen also serves as in-house counsel to a number of businesses, advising them on a wide array of corporate and commercial matters.
